WE HAVE A PREGNANT WADDLE!

Starting the final stretch and it finally looks like we have a pregnant dog! She is starting to walk with a pregnant swagger and her fur is turning. This is one of the first signs of the belly bump, when the hair flips. She is still acting like her same old ball obsessed Magnolia but WE are curtailing the throwing of said ball! A hard conversation with this girl! Her body will talk to her and it will align with our slower and gentler play time. She still keeps the ball either in her mouth or at the ready at all times! I don't think we will be able to completely take it away from her until she has a puppy to lick in replacement! In the meantime, slow rolls and short periods of play are her life!

We will start adding puppy kibble to her diet for the extra nutrition she will need for nursing. She will transition to all puppy kibble when nursing. We feed Momma the same kibble we will start the puppies on and the food we recommend you use when you bring the puppies home! We also give her NuVet Immune Plus daily, again the same recommendation for you to continue feeding the puppy.

It's so crazy to me that the gestation period is only 63 days......and even crazier that nothing shows until the last 3 weeks and then BAMMM! In the next week I will get the puppy room cleaned and sanitized, whelping pen set up and all the whelping tools at the ready! We have done this enough now that it's pretty dialed and I am super pleased with the function of our puppy room. These photos are from last litter but the set up will be the same......cleanliness is a giant key for healthy puppies!! Thanks to Marty for building us such a great space!

Cypress is biding her time waiting for her next heat cycle.....hopefully September/October time frame. Once she is ready we will once again travel to Arlington for a visit with Mr Tonka!

Valentine pups are 20 weeks now and all are thriving! Teething and learning manners..... Looking forward to doing another litter with these great parents to create more beautiful pups!!
