Life of a Ball dog that can't play

Magnolia is such a good girl! She is self monitoring her activity level now but she is obviously not that happy about it! We are giving her extra bones to chew on and let her hug her ball but no fetching. She is getting big enough now that she is not really trying to play much. She is taking good care of herself! She tells me often that her babies are hungry but she is not being all together honest!

Just because we can't run and chase the ball does not mean we can't do other things. Continuing education and obedience are constant around here! We do tricks and games all the time to keep them sharp and engaged. You don't have to go on a 10 mile to walk to keep your mind and body moving. Sometimes just practicing our sit, come, stay skills and of course our spin tricks!!!
With the summer garden comes lots of goodness and great nutrition for all of us! Peas harvested, tons of raspberries picked and dehydrated, green beans going in the freezer for winter and pumpkins still growing!

I am so happy to finally have raspberries. We planted them several years ago but first the puppies thought the canes made a great obstacle course as they ran and chased each other around......made it a little hard on young canes to grow. Then Cypress took a liking to breaking the canes off and chewing them. I was sure they would grow back until I started catching her chewing on the root ball! That's when the fence went in, and voila! We now have berries!!! Life with dogs.....sometimes you can't win, you just have to join them. Other times, trick 'em~I am well schooled at "trick 'em"!
We are taking good care of our girl and are anxious for the new lives she carries to bless us.....this last 2 weeks her belly will really pop!
The anticipation is real......
